Metro Boston condominium prices flat in January S&P Case-Shiller index
The latest S&P Case-Shiller real estate indices have been published.
For the Greater Boston metropolitan area, local condominium prices are flat, compared to last month, but down slightly from last year and the year before.
According to the S&P Case-Shiller data, prices dropped 1.67% in January 2012 compared to January 2011 and are down 2.85% from January 2010. Prices are up ~53% since January 2000. Prices reached their post-millennium high in October 2005, when prices were up ~83%.
