Manny Ramirez puts his Ritz Carlton condo back on the market, $7,900,000

Ex-Red Sox player (and pharyngitis-sufferer) Manny Ramirez has put his Ritz-Carlton Boston condominium up for sale with a price of $7,900,000.

This is the fourth time that the nine-time Silver Slugger and 12-time All-Star left-fielder has listed his home for sale. In 2002, he listed it for $8.995 million; it remained on the market for just under one year. He then listed it again for sale at $6.9 million in November 2005; again, it remained on the market for about a year (364 days), and then withdrawn. (This was the time when he was demanding to be traded from the Red Sox, but was not.)

He next listed it for sale during the spring of 2009 at $8.5 million; in October it was repriced at $7.9 million. Today it was relisted by a new broker* at the same $7.9 million price.

The 4,421+/- square foot single-floor home has four bedrooms, five and ½-half bathrooms, fireplace, chef’s kitchen, private master suite, 10-foot ceilings, and three deeded parking spaces. It has views of the Back Bay, Charles River, Boston Harbor and Boston Common / Public Garden.

Please contact me for more information and for buyer’s agent representation.

* The property was listed with Kevin Ahearn and Otis & Ahearn, in October 2009. Today, it was listed with Carmela Laurella of CL Waterfront Properties, who used to work at O&A but left to go out on her own, earlier this year. The photos on the listing are the same as before. Laurella, whose departure at O&A led to some bad feelings (according to gossipers) has apparently worked out an arrangement for her listings to follow her.)
